RUMORS: Bowser Jr. in Olympic Winter Games?

Sega of Europe deleted a leaked video of the upcoming Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games today. In one part of the video, a flag in the background has Bowser Jr.'s face onto it. Though Bowser Jr.'s flag appeared in the video, it still doesn't confirm that he's playable. Here's the picture:

Japanese Sonic X on YouTube

Many Sonic X fans wanted to see the uncensored Sonic X and 4Kids finally listened to their fans by uploading part of the Japanese verison of the first episode Enter the Supersonic Hero. Sadly, 4Kids blocked accounts outside of the United States from watching the Japanese verison. Here's the video:

RUMORS: Birdo in Olympic Winter Games?

As one of the Super Mario Wiki users, I found one user on the wiki uploaded a Birdo picture that may or may not be from the upcoming Mario & Sonic game, but the sysops and some users on the wiki believe it to be fake and took the picture off of the Olympic Winter Games article. It's hard to tell if this picture is really made by Nintendo and Sega or someone just created it to fool people. Let's wait until Sega confirm if the picture is real or not. Here's the picture:

Release date of Let's Tap and Let's Catch in Europe

Sega and Prope confirmed the new Let's Tap and Let's Catch is going to release this Friday in Europe:

SEGA® Europe Ltd. and SEGA America, Inc. today announced they have shipped LET’S TAP™ for Nintendo Wii™, which will be available at retail for £24.99. New Unleashed Empire City & Adabat DLC

Sega released new Empire City and Adabat stages in Xbox Live and PlayStation Store for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Sonic Unleashed verisons. For the PlayStation 3 verison, the stages cost $2.99 and have 5 day stages and 4 night stages. For the Xbox 360 verison, the stages worth 250 MS Points and have the same stages like the PlayStation 3 have.

Let's Tap and Let's Catch released

Today, Prope released both Let's Tap for Nintendo Wii and Let's Catch for the WiiWare in North America. Let's Tap is going at a $29.99 price tag while Let's Catch worth 1,000 Nintendo Points. The European release date is announced for Summer 2009.

If you played the first Mario & Sonic game, you'll remember the characters in it. In the upcoming Olympic Winter Games, there's two new Team Sonic and one new Team Mario character confirmed. Here's the list of characters:

A Boy wanted to be called Sonic X

I find this stupid, but a six-year-old boy named Christer wanted to change his name to Sonic X. The kid was annoying his parents to write a letter to Norway's King to change his name, but his parents didn't allow him. Christer wrote the letter himself, annoyed his parents to send the letter, then his parents mailed it. The King wrote back saying that he must be 18 or older to change his name. Here's the link:

RUMORS: Sega interested in Nintendo DSi?

There were rumors that Club Nintendo hosted an DSi event and said that you could download Nintendo GameBoy games, Nintendo GameBoy Color games, Nintendo GameBoy Advance, and even Sega Game Gear games. GoNintendo's longtime reader Pezmanmike claimed to be at the event, as well as other members on GoNintendo. Here's a quote from Pezmanmike:

"I was at the dsi event in Naperville, IL and the rep there told us the same thing, that like the VC you will be able to download gb/gbc games. Now I don’t remember if he mentioned gba but he DID say that supposedly sega was interested in bringing Game Gear games to the dsiware too. Nothing set in stone but they are looking into it."

I'm thinking the event is true, but I'm not sure if the downloadable Game Gear games are true.

Sonic the Hedgehog going to iPhone

The first game of everyone's favorite mascot is heading to the iPhone. Sega president Simon Jeffery is maybe going to port more games on the iPhone:

New Team Rose

In Sonic Heroes, Team Rose are the characters of Amy Rose, Cream the Rabbit, and Big the Cat. One person made a hack that's based on the Sonic X episode 58. She got rid of Big and added Cosmo to the team. The hack looks really good, because Cosmo almost looks like herself, though her face looks like Amy's. Here's the video:

There's a new teaser of a unknown upcoming Sega game, which many people are thinking this "Project RINGO" will replace Sonic. It's just a rumor though. (Click on the circle to see the teaser)

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games Trailer

Mario and Sonic 2 is offical. A teaser was released and some new infomation about the game came out. Of course, Mario and Sonic are back. So are Dr. Eggman and Wario. The DS and Wii verisons are coming out late 2009 and the Wii Balance Board could be used.

Rumors of Mario and Sonic at the Winter Games

That last Mario and Sonic rumor was false, but there's another rumor of Nintendo and Sega are teaming up again for a sequel to the popular Mario and Sonic game. The Spainish Nintendo magazine didn't say much info about the game, but said that Sega and Nintendo were making the second Mario and Sonic. The last rumor was wrong, but I'm guessing this rumor would be true

Well, Famitsu has confirmed it  isn't neither a Sonic nor Mario game, it's a parody title for the WiiWare, check what Famitsu has to say

Finally, Sega's Chindouchou! Pole no Daibouken (Eventful Journey! Pole's Big Adventure) is the retro-style game at which they've been hinting with a countdown page. The Famicom-esque game, releasing on February 3 for just 500 Points, seems to be riddled with jokes about other games -- the mushroom item seen on the countdown page actually comes out of bricks and increases the character's size just like in Super Mario Bros., but in this game it enlarges the character far beyond the limits of the screen.

Actually seems like a game worth of checking out.

NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams for PS3 and Xbox 360?

You may have heard of the popular Sonic Team game called NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams for the Nintendo Wii. Rumors said that the game would be going to be released for Mircosoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. This is what TSSZNews said:

In particular, it reveals an internal strife between Sonic Team and Sega of Japan, highlighted by the fact that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams was originally developed as an Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 title - going so far as to say he (Ben Andac) played an Xbox 360 build of NiGHTS at one point. Upon witnessing the overnight success of the Wii, Sega of Japan apparently forced Sonic Team to retool the game for Nintendo’s lower-spec platform, something its producer (Takashi Iizuka) was not happy about. Fake News

Hello people of the Green Hill Zone, I Dannyboy the Dog come to you today with a breaking news report.

Today in Central City there was an uproar in the G.U.N headquarters when a full attack was preformed by none other than Dr. Eggman. G.U.N forces did there best fighting but everyone knows who showed up before the job was done. Sonic The Hedgehog. Sonic zoomed past robots destroying them in the paths as they marched to the G.U.N Headquarters. Sonic was not the only one on the scene though. His side kick and best friend Miles “Tails” Prower helped the fight from the sky as he flew over the city in his hand-built plane, the Tornado.

I was lucky enough to get a few words from Sonic, Tails, Eggman (who WAS behind bars at the time of the interview.) and the G.U.N Commander

Sonic: At first I was surprised at the sudden attack by Eggman, but that Egg-head had another thing coming if he thought he was going to take over the city just like that. I’ve stopped his most evil creations and he must be getting pretty desperate if a few robots were going to stop me.

Tails: I was test flying the Tornado since I just tuned it up with a few new surprises when I saw Sonic go speeding by under me. Then I saw the gun-fire coming from G.U.N forces and Eggman’s robots. I swooped down and started to fire the new missile systems on the larger robots so Sonic can take car of the smaller forces easier.

Eggman: Yes, Yes, Yes I know Sonic and Tails stopped me once again but this was just a test. I needed to scrap these older model robots anyway to make way for my new and spectacular robots. With my new machines I will conquer the world and Sonic will not stop me! Oh, did I just say my plan on National TV…Oh No please edit this out or Sonic will try and stop me at my new base in the Artic Zone…DOH!

G.U.N Commander: Dr. Eggman is no match for my soldiers. Here at Guardian Units of Nations our soldiers are trained for anything, whether it be a attack from Eggman or saving a kitten from a tree. Since Eggman is behind bars he will no longer be able to……*crashing noise* What was that? *Sirens are going off* Oh no.

We are now following the G.U.N Commander to the prison room where it seems Dr.Eggman has broken out of his cell.

G.U.N Commander: Well at least we know where he is going…

Monthly Review Number 2. (It rhymes lol)

Hey guys and welcome to my second review here at Green Hill Zone. This game is Sonic’s first RPG or at least the only one I have ever heard of. If you guessed it was Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood give yourself a pat on the back and keep on reading. If not read on anyway.

The main plot of this game is that Knuckles was kidnapped while guarding the Chaos Emeralds. The kidnappers where a mysterious group called the Marauders by Sonic and friends. Leading these mysterious beings was Shade. I would tell you more about the plot but I wouldn’t want to spoil it for all of you.

The gameplay is played like most RPG’s that have the main map and then battle screen interface. If you run into an enemy you will fight that enemy along with others. Of you can flee from them like other games but in Sonic Chronicles it is a bit different. To flee or sometimes chase an enemy you have to avoid slowing down and reach the end before the enemy reaches you. If you are the one giving chase then you have to avoid slowing down and catch the enemy before it escapes.

Every area in this game has a lot to hide so be sure to check every area for collectibles like rings and Chao eggs to help power up Sonic and the gang. To fully explore the areas though you need the right character to get certain things done. You need flying characters like Tails to go long distances over gaps or Characters like Knuckles to climb tall structures.

This game has a pretty good variety of characters to use and each has there own special abilities. The playable characters in the game are: Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Rouge the Bat, Cream the Rabbit, Big the Cat, Shadow the Hedgehog, Dr. Eggman, E-123 Omega, and Shade. Each character has there own special abilities and powers to use on and off the battlefield so be sure to take a look at each one before you set up your four man team.
